Victoria & Albert Museum – Concealed Histories: Uncovering the Story of Nazi Looting

This appears to just be an adaptation on an existing exhibit showcasing part of the V&A’s collection.  This points out certain items which provenance has shown were looted by the Nazi’s in the war before eventually coming in to the Museum’s collection.

The entry tickets for this small and eclectic exhibition normally cost £6.  This is a portrait photography competition and shows the various finalists in the competition.

National Portrait Gallery – Pre-Raphaelite Sisters

The normal entry cost for this exhibition is £18.  It looks at the women who feature on many pre-raphaelite paintings, the women who painted and wrote poetry featured in paintings at the time.  For the ticket price, the exhibition is quite small but interesting.

Kensington Palace – Victoria: Woman and Crown & Victoria: A Royal Childhood

These two exhibitions explore Queen Victoria’s childhood spent at Kensington Palace and then her later life.

It includes some toys Victoria played with, clothes she and her children wore and incorporates the room where she was born.

The exhibitions are included in the palace ticket but the locations are split between 2 areas of the palace despite being on the same floor.

The normal price for this exhibition is £20.  It is quite a large exhibition with a lot of items relating to the kingdom and legend of Troy.  It also looks at how art, films and literature have been influenced by Troy.

Tate Britain – Year 3

This is a free exhibition in a large corridor connecting the various galleries.  It has class photos of lots of Year 3 school children.  Due to the volume of photos, it is quite hard to see them as some are very high up.
