Goes Wrong Show Series 2: 5 – Cornley Drama Festival Part 2

In the continuation of the drama festival that started last week we were treated to:

a radio play/Marks & Spencer voice over audition from Sandra with Annie providing music and Trevor on sound effects; a very short toothpaste shop based play from Dennis;

a 70s style farce from Annie – which led to a lot of injuries,

and a musical ensemble about a circus from Jonathan – although the rest of the cast were on their way to A&E.

It was another half-hour of silliness and laughter.

Goes Wrong Show Series 2: 5 The Cornley Drama Festival Part 1

This week was similar to a sketch show with each member of the Cornley Drama group getting a chance to put on a short sketch, with others helping out.

In this episode, Robert put on an acting masterclass (and proposed that despite how things seem mischief usually do know what they are doing as they don’t run screening at the cameras; Max literally put on a kitchen sink play (set in a sink); Vanessa put on an improve class, and Chris put on a ballet about insects.

It was good to see a little bit more of the Cornley characters and it was funny.

Goes Wrong Show Series 2 – There is No Escape

Today’s show was a play set in a US prison with dangerous spoons. It had a few problems with a pigeon, sets and voiceovers.

The Goes Wrong Show (Series 2 Episode 2) – The Most Lamentable….

In this episode, Chris Bean is back directing the Cornley Drama Society, who are putting on a Shakespearian (Colin – Not William) play.

It is a hilarious history /tragedy, where things go wrong, and poor Dennis gets incredibly confused about the plot.

The Goes Wrong Show (Series 2 Episode 1) Summer Once Again

A welcome return for “Play of the Week” from the Cornley Drama Society, where there has been a coup for the position of Director.

Tonight was a costume drama family saga. Unfortunately, things went a bit wrong, and they repeated the opening scene several times, trying (but failing) to get it right. Thismeabtbyhe rest of the story had to be very rushed.

It was funny and nice to have some new silliness from Mischief Comedy.

Goes Wrong Show – The Nativity

Mischief Theatre has another hilarious show on BBC1 for Christmas that they managed to make during the covid pandemic. This time (as the name suggests) they are putting on their version of the nativity and things get crazy and go wrong.

The only problem was that it was too short.

Brittas Empire (Complete Series)

Funny BBC sitcom starring Chris Barrie as the manager of Whitbury Newtown Leisure Centre Gordon Brittas. Me Brittas is well meaning but goes about things in a strange insensitive way. Some of the plots are very odd particularly in the later series.
