Reviews by KarenThese installations in the long Duveen gallery on teh upper floor consist of machinery and other inducstial objects. The doors off to the otehr galleries have been changed to make them look more industrial making the whole thinng look and small a lot like a factory or warehouse.

This free exhibit in a room of its own and is a display based on Van Gough’s Sunflowers but made out of many coins places in a pattern on teh floor. There is a raised area you can view it from for clearer view.

These new permanent free galleries take an interesting and informative look at works related to the Islamic world. It s a large area and well set out, but is a little hard to locate due to some closed galleries on the upper floor of the museum.

This small free exhibition has some items from Captain Cook’s expeditions along with some background to his travels. It is similar to the recent paid for exhibition on Captain Cook that was held at the British Library, but a lot smaller.

This paid-for exhibition looks at the background of the Japanese cartoon art form of Manga. It is probably best suited to those who are into Manga who will probably get a lot more from it than others.
The shop at the end has some general Japanese souvenirs and snacks in addition to specific souvenirs on Manga
