Sweets and the City – Mango & Passion Fruit Duals

These vegan sweets come in a resealable bag. The one I had contained 27 sweets. I got it in Holland & Barrett where the normal price is £2.49, but they had a special offer of 3 for the price of 2.

They are soft gummy sweets and the passion fruit taste was slightly stronger than the mango.

Sweets in the City – Apple & Watermelon Duals

These are fizzy gummy vegan sweets. They taste of watermelon a bit more than apple.

The pack I had contained 24 sweets. I got it in Holland & Barrett where the normal price is £2.49, but they had a special offer of 3 for the price of 2.

Deliciously Ella – Double Chocolate Caramel Cups

You get 2 sweets in the pack. It is advertised as vegan, and the cup is made of oats and cacao, with caramel and cacao ganache inside, topped with thick dark chocolate.

The outside was very crumbly, there wasn’t much ganache, and the top was quite hard. I thought it tastes a bit like dates, but they are not mentioned in the ingredients.

I got it in Holland & Barrett where the normal price is £1.69, but they had a special offer of 33% off, making it £1.33.

Veggie Pret – Italian Veggie Baggette

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This contains a sauce mixed with vegetarian mozzarella, tomato, peppers, olives and lentils, topped with vegetarian hard cheese in a stone-baked baguette.  The baguette itself had an odd texture, it was tough on the outside and chewy and doughy in the middle.  The filling was quite soggy, and for me, there were too many olives.

Nando’s – Beanie Burger and Chips

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This cost £8.75.

The burger was nice, but close to being overdone and included a slice of tomato, lettuce and mayo.  The burger bun/roll was a bit doughy, but the chips were nice basic chips.  Unfortunately, Nandos UK has stopped offering sweet potato side options, which is a bit disappointing.

Veggie Pret – Chocolate Mousse

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This cost £2.50.

It has 3 layers of different chocolate – plain chocolate mouse, then milk chocolate mousse topped with chocolate ganache.  It is quite rich but small for the price.

Veggie Pret – Mushroom Risotto & bread roll

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

The risotto/soup cost £2.60 for the smallest size (known as side soup), and the roll cost 65p.

The risotto was nice, but the crust of the roll was quite hard, particularly at the ends.  The size of the pot meant there wasn’t really enough for the size of roll, so smaller rolls would be nice.

Subway – Toasted Cheese Bite

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This costs £1.99. It is less than half the size of a 6-inch sub and the bread us a lot thinner.

The sign suggests you can have 2 toppings in addition to the 2 types of cheese, but in the branch I went to, the server said it had to look like the photo with one type of cheese, tomato and spinach.

The whole thing including the extra toppings was then toasted.

Coco Di Mama – Salted Caramel Chocolate Brownie

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This cost £2.25.

It is very rich, sweet and slightly gooey.  It is a bit pricy for the size.

Coco Di Mama – Sweet Pomodoro

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This cost £4.50.

It is a basic tomato sauce.  You can request no cheese to make it vegan as the pasta is advertised as vegan, and you can add your own chilli flakes and oil if you want it spicier.  The shape of pasta varies each week, and they just seem to have posts of plan pasts that they pour the sauce on – which means the pasta at the bottom doesn’t have much sauce on it.  The prices are a bit high for the size of the pot.
