This is an incredibly eventful final episode of series 8 for he regular characters. Sheila thank has her baby, Tom and Barbara get married with her father conducting the ceremony and a role for Phyllis, Trixie meets Christopher’s daughter Alexandra, Fred and Violet have ice surprise visitor and after a very long wait Delia’s (and viewers) “Patience” is rewarded with a very happy ending. There is also a subpolt with a guest family involving the introduction of the pill.
