This is a slightly surreal stop-motion animation about a little boy called Icare who accidentally kills his alcoholic mother and is taken to an orphanage. He tells the authorities that he wants to be known by his pet name of Courgette.
It then looks at his life in the ophanaage with the friends he makes there.
