This Oscar Wild comedy includes some elements of comedy, political intrigue and bsuspense. It isn’t as funny as the Importance of Being Earnest, but it still an enjoyable play.

A very funny farce about the Cornley Polytechnic drama society trying to stage a murder mystery play. There is chaos with broken props, fighting actors, and falling sets. There is also pre-show entertainment largely in the stalls, where some of the cast interact with the audience asking for help looking for a dog and a tape.
This was the second time I saw this play (the first was at Kingston Theatre with the original cast before it went into the West End).
There was an extra unexpected part where someone from the Theatre came on stage and they had to stop the play for a couple of minutes. I checked on Twitter and this was actually something that was unplanned, so I was very lucky to see it. It only lasted a couple of minutes and the crew member who was in one of the boxes was ready to keep the audience entertained.
