Science Museum, London – 11 August 2019

This museum explores both the history and the future of science.  It is free to enter and the temporary exhibitions were all free too.

It has cafes and a shop but does not offer membership and they do not seem to have discounted sales often so the souvenirs can be a bit over priced.

There were large areas closed off and being renovated, which made it difficult to see everything as you need to change floors to get around some of these areas.

Pret – Greek Salad

Nice vegetarian salad offering from Pret.  It contains lettuce, cucumber, olives chargrilled peppers, pickled red onion, feta cheese, lemon and sauce.  I would have prefered tomato to the peppers, but it was still nice.

Just A Bite: Indian Street Food Company, Stutton Ground Market London – Channa Masala Curry

Reasonable at £4 this street food vegan chickpea curry and rice was very spicy (a bit too hot for my tastes) and filling.

Blinded by the Light (2019)

Saw this film as a preview.  It is about a teenager in 1980s Luton who “discovers” the music of Bruce Springsteen and finds it helps him with conflicts with his Muslim upbringing and the racism he faces.

It has a lot of Springsteen music which sometimes includes pertinent lyrics on screen.
