Eat – Mushroom Melt

This tasted a bit burnt and was quite soggy. It had sliced mushrooms, vegan Gouda, onions and vegan mayonnaise. It had been toasted by staff at Eat and the size of the bead (which wasn’t cut in half, the sogginess dripping out if it and the burnt parts made it a bit difficult to eat.

The normal price is £3.99.

Boots – Vegan Christmas Feast

This tasted a bit odd with a strange combination of flavours. It is white bread with vegan mayonnaise, vegan stuffing (including seeds, sprouts, and sage), red cabbage and dried fried onion. The average price is £3, but this is one of the meal deal options.

It was very gooey with the sauce but was filing.

Tate Modern – Mark Leckey – O’ Magic Power of Bleakness

I didn’t get to see the exhibition when I visited on 13 October as the opening was delayed due to a technical issue inside the exhibition. It was due to open at 10, but the staff said to come back at 11 due to the delay. I did this but it still wasn’t open. Staff kept saying that it would open any minute and that it would be worth the wait. However, at about 11.25 they apologised saying the problem was more complicated than expected and it wouldn’t be opening until at least 12noon and offered refunds to those who had bought tickets. I decided not to wait any longer and left. It was good that staff tried to keep visitors informed and for that reason, I am not giving this review 0.

Tate Britain – William Blake

This exhibition explores the artwork of the artist and poet William Blake. It starts with his earliest work through his life until his final works.  It was reasonably interesting but is probably best suitable to those that are very knowledgeable on the life of William Blake.
