I visited using Historic Royal Palaces membership which gives unlimited entry to a number of properties. The non-member’s gate price is £24.50, with a small reduction if you book online.
If you just want to visit the wilderness area of the gardens (where most of the daffodils are) that is free to everyone, but you need a ticket or membership to visit the palace and the formal gardens once the palace opens at 10am (you can often visit the formal gardens for free if you enter via the gate in the wilderness that is only open 9am-10am.
Today was a bit early to see the daffodils and the other spring flowers in their full glory, but there were areas where there were reasonably big areas of daffodils. There was also a bit of building and restoration work going on.
