Mischief Movie Night In 7.30pm Saturday 3 July

Tonight the hybrid audiences decided on a legal drama set in a medieval circus called Rumpole of the Motte and Bailey. Social media decided it should include a hard-core metal number about trees, Dapper Stan, a fashionable man and a tech team cameo (playing God).

There were laws involving chickens, a slightly disturbing queen and prince who create cruel and nonsensical laws and want to own the circus. We see how the subjects try to fight back in the crazy funny movie.

Mischief Movie Night In – 3.30pm Saturday 3 July

The various hybrid audiences chose a wrestling movie set in Texas. It was called Popes on the Ropes. Social media also asked for most winks in one scene, unnecessary use of mime at a pivotal moment and best shoes.

It was funny but weird and had gentle vampires who wrestle against popes, a lot of Janines, crochet and dinosaur conscious.

Mischief Movie Night In – Friday 2 July 2021

Tonight the hybrid audiences chose a murder mystery set in Cheeseland, where everything is made of cheese. The title was The Hound of the Wensleydales. The extra things they needed to try to fit in were most alliteration squished into one line, most alternative on-screen covid safe kisses, Fallulah Ballulah who loves to rhyme (but in the end didn’t rhyme much).

It followed Mr Bones and his assistant Jessica who went to the Wensleydales in the Fromage District. It emerged be had been there before. It was crazily complicated and not wholly family-friendly but was funny.

Mischief Movie Night In – Thursday 1 July 2021 8pm

For the first time, there was a small live studio audience in addition to those at home. This was called Over the Henge, a stone-age historical drama with a body-swapping part element. It had an award for the most creative use of the phrase “Kachow”, with Tony Bahama, who doesn’t go anywhere without his Llama, and an award for the least necessary murder.

It included unexpectedly funny some new special effects with a horse, dinosaur, bath, muddy grass, steel star. To make is borderline family-friendly the coitus bush was off stage.
