This is a sequel to the 1970 film. In this film set in WW2, with 3 evacuees Dublin’s coming to stay. Bobbie is a WW1 widow (we get no confirmation if she ended up marrying Jim), with an adult daughter Annie who’s husband is off fighting, and a grandson Thomas.
There is brief mention of Peter (who died in WW1) and Phylis (not specifically stared but it is assumed she had also died – her husband/widower visits.
It is a pleasant enough story, with a few references to the original, but for me I would of preferred more.
