Antman & The Wasp: Quantumania (2023)

This continues the Marvel story of Scott Lang/Antman, Hope Van Dyne/The Wasp, along with Hope’s parents and Scott’s daughter.

They find themselves in the Quantum realm where they have big and small sized issues to deal with.

It is quite funny at times and helps a lot of you have some familiarity with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it has is and post credit scenes.

She Said (2022)

This interesting and powerfull film is based on the New York Times investigation into sexual abuse allegations against the then-powerful movie producer (spoiler – now jailbird) Harvey Weinstein (&others), which kick-started the #metoo movement to expose the silence that had surrounded sexual assault and harassment over the years.

Matilda: The Musical (2022)

This is a film adaptation of the stage musical based on the Roald Dahl book about a girl who has to be a little bit naughty to stand up against bullying behaviour.

It was similar to the stage version but some things were changed – no Michael Wormwood or Rudolpho and the songs Loud and Telly were missing. However it was still a good film.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)

I saw this in Curzon cinemas during the week-long cinema release before it is on Netflix just before Christmas.

This is the second film in the cliched murder mystery franchise where a group of people travel to an isolated island, someone does and you try to work out who did it.

Thirteen Lives (2022)

This was an interesting dramatisation of the 2018 British-Australian mission to rescue a boy’s football team from some rapidly flooding cave in Thailand.

Many people will know the outcome, but there is still suspense even if you know what happens.
