Sweets and the City – Mango & Passion Fruit Duals

These vegan sweets come in a resealable bag. The one I had contained 27 sweets. I got it in Holland & Barrett where the normal price is £2.49, but they had a special offer of 3 for the price of 2.

They are soft gummy sweets and the passion fruit taste was slightly stronger than the mango.

Sweets in the City – Apple & Watermelon Duals

These are fizzy gummy vegan sweets. They taste of watermelon a bit more than apple.

The pack I had contained 24 sweets. I got it in Holland & Barrett where the normal price is £2.49, but they had a special offer of 3 for the price of 2.

Deliciously Ella – Double Chocolate Caramel Cups

You get 2 sweets in the pack. It is advertised as vegan, and the cup is made of oats and cacao, with caramel and cacao ganache inside, topped with thick dark chocolate.

The outside was very crumbly, there wasn’t much ganache, and the top was quite hard. I thought it tastes a bit like dates, but they are not mentioned in the ingredients.

I got it in Holland & Barrett where the normal price is £1.69, but they had a special offer of 33% off, making it £1.33.

Veggie Pret – Vegan Eggless Mayo and Cress.

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not visiting restaurants.

This cost £2.99.

It has chopped tofu in a fake mayonnaise which tasted very buttery/greasy and a lot of dress in a white baguette.

It smelt a tiny bit of egg, but that was possibly the dress and greasy mayo together, and there was far too much dress for the size.

Itsu – Meatless Meatball Rice Bowl

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This cost £5.99.

The sauce was very spicy and has a slight barbeque taste. The vegan meatballs tasted a bit like mixed Quorn. It had a lot of peas with some edamame beans, chopped onion, carrot and rice.

Crussh – Falafel & Houmous Wrap

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not going on unnecessary trips.

This cost £3.20.

It had falafel balls, houmous, mixed leaves and shredded carrot in a seeded wrap.

It was a bit bland and I would prefer if other fillings were added like cucumber, tomato or onion.

Veggie Pret – Cocoa, Nuts & Berries Smoothie Bowl

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not visiting restaurants

This cost £3.75.

The smoothie is incredibly thick and has an odd consistency. It is a mix of ground nuts, banana puree, cocoa and coconut cream. It also has almond butter, raspberries, blueberries and mixed nuts on top with sliced banana hidden at the bottom of the bowl.

Veggie Pret – Sashimi Style Watermelon Poke Bowl

Please note that I visited this place and drafted this review before the UK Government’s Coronavirus announcement on 16 March 2020 about social distancing and not visiting restaurants

This cost £5.50.

The bowl includes sliced avocado, watermelon chunks, pickled cabbage, black rice, shredded radish, edamame beans, coriander, a quarter of lime and sesame seeds.

The watermelon went well with the rest of it, but I think it would be nicer if there was more melon and less avocado.

McDonalds – Veggie Dippers Happy Meal

This cost £2.59.

It has 2 veggie dippers, a small fried (you can choose a fruit or carrot bag instead), an orange juice (other drinks are available), a sealed pot of ketchup (barbeque, sweet and sour and curry were the other sauce options) and as the “toy” it had a small plastic Little Miss Chatterbox mug (other Mr Men and Little Miss options are randomly included).

The cardboard box can be adapted into a tray, which was useful.  If you aren’t too hungry this is probably suitable as a light meal for an adult.

The cost is reasonable for what you get.

Crussh – Green Goddess juice

This was on special offer for £2 small juice. The normal price is £4.

It has apple, kiwi, pear, lime, cucumber, spinach & celery freshly juiced. It tastes nice but was only at room temperature rather than chilled.

I think the full price is too high for what you get.
