Parent Trap, The (1961)

Hayley Mills and Hayley Mills star as identical twins who are separated as infants when their parents played by Maureen O’Hara, and Brian Keith split up.

When the girls are both sent to the same summer camp, they are unaware of their connection and hate each other, but as they spend more time together (particularly when they are placed in the isolation cabin together), they notice similarities and eventually stumble on the truth.

They each want to meet the other parent, so they decide to switch places when they go home. There is the added complication of a prospective stepmother that the girls need to resolve. When the truth gradually emerges, their patents have to meet up again to try to sort it out.

Due to the age of the film, the special effects are a bit dated, but for the time they are quite good.
