I got a £25 Rush Ticket from TodayTix for this and it was a good view.
This short play has a weird premise, the law is changed so that you can only say and write a combination of a total of 140 words a day. It only has 2 characters – a couple and looks at how the limit affects them.
It was amusing at points, but the concept wasn’t fully explored – what happens if you exceed the limit, how is it officially monitored, acronyms, hyphenated words, how does it work for sign language, etc?
It went back and forwards in time a lot to explore the couples relationship from.when they first met through to how they deal with the word limit.
