This is a (mainly) black & white loosly autobiographical film based on Sir Kenneth Branagh`s childhood during “the troubles”.
It is about a boy called Buddy who is trying to understand what is happening in his community and how it will affect his family.
Despite the subject matter there was a surprising amount if humour – largely from his grandparents.
Overall it was a good film that showed that hatred is bad and war is pointless.

In this British Christmas comedy the Christmas family meet for Christmas, their estranged father returns and famy secrets are revealed.
It is amusing in parts but some parts are a bit odd and over-acted.
