This small museum tells the story of the roman village of Verilium. You can get a bus from the middle of St Albans to the museum (the stop is St Michaela Church). It shows items found by archaeologists and has information on how the Romans lived.

Verilium is the name of a roman town that was based near St Albans. Verilium park is a large park covering this area. It is a lake, waterfowl, herons, stream roman wall, café and car park.
St Albans Cathedral seems to have a mixture of styles from the outside. It is quite large inside and is free to enter but donations are welcome. It has a small gift shop and a second hand book shop and a café in a marquee.

It is a romantic comedy drama set in WW2 London about a team who make information films to help keep the spirits up at the Home Front. They recruit a woman to help with women’s dialogue but soon find that she is an indispensable member of the team.
As in most war films there is always the risk that something bad could happen at any moment to any of the characters, particularly just as everything is looking good.

St Albans is a small old city north of London. I visited on a Saturday and there is a market selling all sorts of stuff in the high street. There is a small tourist information office that opens at 10am in the theatre complex and it has information about St Albans attractions and other local places.
The station is a little bot away from the shops and attractions such as the cathedral and roman town, but PlusBus tickets seem to be accepted on all buses except a shuttle bus that costs £1 single. It is confusing working out where to get the buses in the High Street as there is no map telling you which buses stop where.
The High Street has a Waterstones book shop that has a nice coffee shop offering reasonable sandwiches, soup and jacket potatoes.

Film set at a relaxation hotel inherited mountains where a retired music conductor is resting and isnhen asked to conduct a concert. His daughter has a relationship that is breaking down too.
