This is a film set during the Nazi holocaust. Bruno’s father is am officer in the Nazis and the family is sent to the countryside to be close to his new posting. When Bruno is exploring he finds a boy of a similar age called Shmuel, who is kept on the other side of a fence and wears what look like striped pyjamas.
Bruno and Shmeul make friends and Bruno eventually manages to find a way through the fence to join his friend when Shmeul can’t find his father. To help blend in Bruno wears striped pyjamas when the look for the father in the different huts. – It does not end well.
