I visited here on a sunny day. I used my English Heritage membership to get in for free. This castle dates back to the 12th century and it stands on the banks of the River Medway. You get good views of Rochester and the river from the top of the castle.
It has a tiny shop with a few souvenirs and it is easy to reach using public transport.
